Independent Inventors Conference, Aug. 8-9, Alexandria, VA

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) along with the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation is sponsoring the 13th annual Independent Inventors Conference at the USPTO in Alexandria, Virginia, on Aug. 8-9. The registration fee is $100 and includes a pre-conference workshop for beginners on Aug. 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. to learn about intellectual property protection and the basics of patents. In addition to sessions and presentations, the registration fee includes morning and afternoon refreshments, lunch both days, and a networking reception on Friday night.

Speakers include Deputy Under Secretary of Commerce Margaret Peterlin, Commissioner for Patents John Doll, and Louis Foreman, executive producer and creator of Everyday Edisons, an award-winning PBS show.
