USPTO accepting additional comments on developing a national consumer awareness campaign

On November 17, 2020, the USPTO published a Federal Register Notice requesting public input on the Development of a National Consumer Awareness Campaign on Combating the Trafficking in Counterfeit and Pirated Products. The initial comment period closed on January 4, 2021. The USPTO has reopened the comment period through a Federal Register Notice and will accept additional comments until March 12, 2021.

Your feedback will help the USPTO make recommendations to the Department of Homeland Security about developing a public-private national consumer awareness campaign to educate consumers on the direct and indirect costs and risks of counterfeit and pirated goods.
