New Ohio Historical Patent Database

Librarians in Ohio have premiered their Miami Valley Inventors Historical Database covering the period 1814-1875 for the following 11 counties around Dayton, Ohio: Butler, Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby and Warren. It contains bibliographic information on over 1800 patents and includes cities and towns, attorneys of record, estate administrators, assignments, and biographical notes of a few inventors.
